That Effortless Look for V-Day

Happy ALMOST Valentine’s Day!

I’m currently sitting in class while writing this post, even though I should be taking notes. HA. Priorities, right?

So we all know there’s this stigma around Valentine’s Day where people who aren’t in relationships loath the day and people who are in relationships can’t get enough of celebrating the day. The way I look at it is Valentine’s day is another day where we can express how much we love the people in our life. Regardless if you’re in a relationship or not, this day is still for you, unless you absolutely hate everyone in your life, but I’m guessing that’s not the case. With everything I’ve been experiencing in my life lately, I just want to make Valentine’s day worth while and give everyone my love a little extra harder.

If I’m going to guess, there are a lot of girls out there who are like me who don’t want to spend hours on their hair for Valentin’es Day or who just don’t have that sort of time. Now, if you do want to do that and you do have that kind of time, more power to you!

This is the perfect hairstyle to do if you don’t want your hair straight but you don’t have time to curl it. It also gives off that effortless look that still actually looks cute. And to be honest, there’s not a lot of effort that goes into it!

Step 1: The night before, wash your hair. I make this the first step because I only wash my hair once, maybe twice a week.

Step 2: Comb through your hair and put any sort of product that you usually put in it after the shower. I use this after I wash my hair. It moisturizes my hair, makes it smell good, has helped in growing my hair out, and has really great ingredients.

Step 3: Braid your hair in two pigtail braids or two french braids. I don’t know how to french braid. If I did, I would french braid my hair because you get more waves out of it!

Step 4: Go to sleep with your braids in.

Step 5: Take your braids out the next day when you’re getting ready! You may have to blow-dry your braids if they still feel a little damp, but once that is done you’ll be able to take them out and you’ll have that effortless, perfect wave! YES, it’s really that simple.

Step 6: Use any kind of product to help with frizz or to calm the waves down. I use this, and I absolutely love it. A little goes a long way and the ingredients are prime (of course).

What’s perfect about this hairstyle is that you can do dramatic makeup or you can opt for simple makeup. I paired the hairstyle with simple makeup and a bold lip, because you can never go wrong with a bold lip! I also can rock this hairstyle for a few days because I re-braid my hair before I go to bed each night and then take the braids out in the morning.

Enjoy this hairstyle as much as I do!!

I hope you all have a great Valentine’s Day and spend it with everyone you love.

XOXO, Aubrianna
