A Peek Inside my Bedroom

Happy Monday night!

I’m not quite sure what is up with these late night posts. I kind of enjoy them though. I’m able to write my thoughts down while laying in bed, and that has got to be one of the most relaxing things you can do for yourself before it’s bedtime.

I do hope everyone had a very productive and successful Monday! I took two exams, and I even was able to tan (with sunscreen of course) for an hour on my balcony, while I read. How lucky is that? I think I’ll be spending a lot of time on my balcony this summer, just reading away. I’m currently reading Strong Looks Better NakedIt’s such a good read! Thinking of doing a little baby post about a few of the books I’ve finished recently. Thoughts?

So last week I was making my bed and a thought came into my head – I could do a post about the way I’ve decorated my room. So I figured, why not!

To begin, I do share my room with my boyfriend so there are some things in my room that I wish were a bit different. Take the headboard and nightstands for example. I would love if they were white, but regardless, I still love my room!

I wanted my room to feel warm, cozy, and relaxing, with a touch of boho. I love neutral colors – white, cream, and gray. Hence why my duvet is gray with white pillows and blankets, and white furniture (besides the bed-set). So far, I’ve succeeded. The perfect touch that made my room feel all of the above were my white Christmas lights draped over my sheer white curtains, on my window. I’m also in love with my wall piece, which was specially made for me from a girl I found through Instagram. She’s so kind and so talented. Her name is Lindsey! Definitely check her out if you like my wall piece! She makes the wall pieces exactly how you want. You tell her what you want and she creates it. Her prices are great too! Here is her Instagram for her business.

Above is just a little piece of wall space where I put up some decorations. My favorite thing about this wall are those little paw prints. They’re the paw prints of my cat, Jed, who is now no longer with me. He was my absolute everything, so I knew I wanted his paw prints somewhere I would see them everyday.

Love these books! I also love that they’re white! And, this candle smells so good! My grandma actually bought me this candle last May, and I’ve only burned it twice because I don’t want to run out of it. LOL.

(100 Days of Real Food was bought at Target. Yoga, Pilates, Meditation, & Stress Relief was bought at Barnes & Noble. The candle is from Anthropologie.)

The books are on my white dresser, which is below my little wall space that is all decorated. I also love each Willow Tree I have. The left one is “Angle of Friendship,” which I got from a really great friend of mine (Jordan Balfe) after I lost my cat. The middle one is “Miss You,” which I got from my amazing grandma. Lastly, the right one is “Free Spirit,” which I got from my wonderful mom. All three of these Willow Trees are so, so special to me. I was hesitant to share them with you all, just because they are that special, I felt like I might be sharing too much. I went with it anyways. I just think when you’re gifted with things like these, you should treasure them forever and ever. And why not tell you all how grateful I am to have people in my life who care for me that much.

Yes, my beloved dreamcatcher and Hamsa lamp I got from Electric Forest in 2014! If you know me you know there’s a special place in my heart for dreamcatchers. These two things are hanging in the corner of my room. When I’m laying in bed, I can see them perfectly, and I love that. Both of these things are so special to me as well, just because I love what they represent. They’re what make my room complete.
